Government Standards Programs (Non-Regulatory)
NIST's Standards Services Division conducts training programs for the public sector on standards, conformity assessment and trade. NIST offers half-day, one-day, two-day and executive-level courses that introduce participants to the role that documentary standards and conformity assessment play in the U.S. and global marketplace and in the development and management of regulations. Topics may include: ◦Fundamentals of standards and conformity assessment in the United States;
◦How standards and the assessment of conformity to standards can support your agency's regulatory goals;
◦Resources (people, publications and databases) you can tap to stay informed of the evolving standards and regulatory landscape; and
◦How trade agreements can advance your agency's mission.
These courses are available free-of-charge to federal, state and local government entities. For more details or to inquire about scheduling a training event, please contact us.
