A lesson plan is also known as a Course Definition. The
values you may set are as follows:
Create Course Description
Give each course a unique title. This title will appear on
various screens when an administrator, student or instructor is working in a
course.
Enter Number of Prerequisites
There may be other courses you want each student to
successfully complete before being allowed to enroll in this course. If so,
enter the course numbers for those courses, separated by commas, in this space.
Enter Number of Sections
You must have at least one section. This number represents
the number of sections of course material that the course will include. Each
section will require a separate HTML page, document, authored lesson or URL
address.
Enter Number of Tests
Enter the number of tests that will be defined for this
course. This does not have to be the same as the number of sections. Set to “1”
or higher.
Enter Number of Assignments
This is the number of assignments that will be defined for
this course. It does not have to be the same as the number of sections or
tests. This may be set to “0” if you do not want to have assignments.
Assignments should not be used if there is no instructor assigned to the
course.
Enter Number of Sections
You must have at least one section. This number represents
the number of sections of course material that the course will include. Each
section will require a separate HTML page, document, authored lesson or URL
address.
Number of Credit Hours
This is the number of credit hours that may be earned for
this course. This may be set to “0” if you are not offering credit hours.
Enter Long Description
Create a full description of the Class that will be used for
keyword searches in the Student Module. The description will display in a
pop-up when the “Info” icon is selected in the Student Module course finder.
