Outbound Call Script – adjust to your needs

 

 

Sample generic cold call script: (Green text is for company who knows your current customer)

 

In red is your Core Value Statement (Why do you exist?) and the experts say it should be almost the first thing you say after your name and who you are representing.

 

Please take this as a starting point and modify to fit your style. In particular, modify for the industry and the role (entrepreneur, executive, manager) that you are talking with.  See blue book – Perfect Phrases book - for best vocabulary for each of these types)

 

 

 

1. If a real live human being actually answers their phone:

Hello Jane.  How are you today?  I’m ZZZZZZZ at FlexTraining. You and I have not spoken before, but I have been working with [companies | organizations] like yours for a while and even some you may be familiar with. 

 

In fact we work with XYZ company (and their Training Director Fred Jones), and we have been helping them for about three years. 

 

We help [companies | organizations] cut operating costs and improve performance.  We do this by providing secure online training and testing solutions for your employees, customers, or clients who require one-time or recurrent training.

 

[ Start listening now and encourage the prospect to talk about their situation.  Respond with empathy and let him know you can help.]

 

For example:

 

The main concern we have been hearing from people in your position is that their internal training is costly, labor intensive, and difficult to keep track of.  And when they look at online training to try and get some efficiency going, they find expensive software license, significant hardware purchases, and a lot of setup work.  That’s where we come in. 

 

We provide a streamlined complete system, or a turnkey regular service which gives each client their own secure, private training center for whatever kind of training they want.  And we do it for about $2 per online learner per month.
